Tom's marathon challenge

Please sponsor our runner

Hi, my name's Tom Walker and I'm a 25-year-old film-maker living in

south London. When I was asked by VST to raise money for them by running

the 2012 London Marathon I was split as to whether to agree to take on

the challenge or run in the opposite direction. I'm not a natural runner

and although I love sport and exercise I can't exactly say that the idea

of 26 gruelling miles of it fills me with joy. Yet having worked closely

with VST on a film project I was able to see amazing things this charity

can achieve for the marginalised people of India. Their 30 years of hard

work in south India have helped thousands of people who otherwise would

not have a chance to live a life free from poverty, violence and

discrimination. For these reasons I agreed to undertake this daunting

task and try and raise as much money as possible by running/crawling the

London Marathon for VST. Hopefully I might even do well enough to get

scouted for the 2012 London Olympics . . . I think not!
